In honour of all you great folk who have patiently followed my interweb ramblings on this 'ere blog, I offer you the chance to win this lovely Romano-British character model from my Arthurian collection. He has been mounted on a 40mm round base since this pic was taken, but aside from that he's as you see him here: (Cue drum roll, fanfare, etc)
He's the Gripping Beast Arthur with a head swap, so, apart from the other figure I did exactly the same but with a different paint job (the Geraint figure from my Dux Brit force) he's totally unique!!!
To be in with a chance of winning this (rather lovely) prize, all you have to do is this:
Post a comment onto this post telling me (and everyone else) what it is that you particularly enjoy about the content of the blog. For example, it could be a favourite post or series of posts, a favourite theme, a combination, or whatever really.
Now, while this could appear to some as nothing more than an exercise in my own vanity, actually, I am genuinely interested in what aspects of my wargaming world you good folk come here for.
The draw remains open until I turn on my PC on Saturday 31st August, at which point, I shall publish any remaining posts, then add a post to close the draw and will then put all names of those whose comments fulfil the criteria into a hat (well, a plastic tub, in all probability!) and will ask my son to draw one out! (He'll really like that, as it's an important job...aren't 5 year olds great!!?!!) I shall then post details on here of how the lucky winner can claim their prize. Seeemples!!!!!
BTW: Please don't worry if your post doesn't appear for a day or two. I have 'comment moderation' enabled to deflect spam and we are out and about a fair bit doing family stuff over the bank holiday weekend, so I may not get to the blog every day to publish comments. Please rest assured that everyone who comments appropriately will definitely be entered into the draw on 31st August.
I hope that this lovely prize entices you to enter and I look forward to reading your posts and to giving away this rather lovely model!!!
Thanks once again for your support and I hope that you keep coming back for more!!
Cheers
Andy

Ha! First. I visit your blog for Dark Ages post - I'm interested in this period too.
What drew me in was the beautiful miniatures and the dark age stuff, especially the Dux Brit battle reports, as I hold fond dreams of being able to play some time next year.
Congrats on reaching the 100K mate. I'm enjoying your Oldhammer stuff of late, being a big fan myself of all things old skool Citadel. Keep it up!
Stunning prize Andy !!!
Please count me in to the prize draw if my comment fulfil the criteria:)
The reason I found your blog in the first place was when I looked for inspiration for my dark age armys and as you have a truly stunning collection and are a greate painter it was a no brainer to get back for more painting inspiration, wich I have ever sins then.
Lately I have realy appreciated to follow your Dux Britanniarum games.
Pleas keep it going Andy !
Best regards Michael
I visit to drool over your paintwork, obviously. Not enough Dux Bellorum coverage for my liking though ;-)

"just like to say I have enjoyed the recent Dux campaign reports and the earlier reports of the show demo games. Further back, apart from my Saxons, I still look at the late Roman army unit pictures as think this was your pinnacle ! Apart from the Frank/Saxon warband that GB Green late roman unit is fantastic.
Safe to say will continue opening the blog page and reading your updates – although it may be a skip read of when the subject is Father Christmas’s helpers !"
I think I'm with most of your readers in that I'm here for the awesome and inspiring painting. Not that I'll ever hit that standard, but it's great to see what can be achieved.
That and waiting to find out what your take on our latest Dux Brit battle is going to be :D
Ooh Shiny.
100,000 and counting - great progress for a really nice chap!
I came, I saw, I felt very inadequate (in the paintbrush department!).
I enjoy reading the battle reports, especially the camapign. I also liked the Dux Britanniarum fantasy battle.
I'm getting into Dux Britanniarum at the moment, so am really enjoying reading the Annals of Linnius while painting up my British starter army.

Hi Andy, that is a lovely bit of painting!
I really like big armies, and most enjoy the bigger battles, like your Salute game. Best, Simon
My absolute favvorite part of this blog is the AARs posted for your Dux campaign with those beautiful pictures. Keep up the good work. Congrats.
My favourite aspect of your blog is the narrative story telling of your campaign and being able to read both your Chronicle and the Saxon side of events on the Trouble at the Mill blog.
Greetings Andy.
Congratulations on hitting the 100K mark. To be honest I think this is my first visit to your blog. I was enticed by another follower giving a link and word of your giveaway. It is a fantastic looking figure. Needless to say I shall be returning to your site.
A very handsome prize indeed, count on me for the draw.
As to what attracted me to your blog was first Mike's recommendation but I really loved to follow your Dux campaigns AARs
Being a new follower (saw the blog being pimped) all I can say is what got me to follow. Your style and quality of painting. Dark Ages is not top of my list but I am slowly feeling the draw of the period, though I blame SAGA for starting me on that path
Ian
Gary Amos sent me.....I'm new!
I like a lot your Dux Britanniarum posts, Andy.
Cheers!
I like following your Dark Ages stuff: Saga and Dux Brit. And your painting is easy on the eye as well!
Congratulations on the 100k! I particularly enjoy the large quantity of historicals, especially the eye-candy of well painted miniatures. I like the Arthurian stuff, but I would enjoy seeing more of the Colonials also!
GHA,
Delighted that your blog has reached 100K+ visitors :-)
For me, your blog has proved to be a wonderful inspiration for improving my own attempts at painting. Your step-by-step guides have been invaluable.
Keep up the excellent work! Roll on 200K visitors.
Thanks
Matt
I'm too new here to know for sure, I just found your blog, but from the look of things there's a lot to like: nice minis, and some Oldhammer (fun nostalgia for me) and I'm always interested in Dark Ages, it's one of my favorite time periods.
I plugged your give away with some others here:

a good time for free stuff it seems :)
The thing I look for in blogs I follow are well painted miniatures (if they are related to games I play, or periods I'm interested in, so much the better). For Me, I enjoy the eye-candy of your beatuiful lead collection. It spurs me on in my own painting efforts.
Well done on the milestone.
I your AAR's and painting.
Keep up the good work
By the skin of my teeth I'm in, that's a damn fine figure and would look marvellous attached to my army!
